While I try to maintain balance in my eating, balance in exercise is also needed. I do cardio for my heart, strength for my muscles and stretching for flexibility. These are the areas I'm working on, not the areas in which I've achieved. I have a long way to go, but I'm working.
So far, I have seen the inches vanish before the pounds do. Why is this? I asked myself. I found my answer. Muscle weighs more than fat, therefore, I am losing fat tissue, but replacing it with heavier muscle tissue, so my weight loss is less. This is good for my metabolism in the long run, so I'm going to forge ahead. I will tell you, though, that losing 3/4 of a pound at a time is not too encouraging.
I am happy to report I worked out three times this week, which was my minimum goal. Yay! I am going to try to keep my balance this week in every area.
Here's the funny for the week.
Make it a great day, everyone!

Maybe I should try this method! :)

I am so proud of you for meeting your goal this week. Keep up the good work with making Fitness a life style instead of a Diet Fad.
Thanks for the "internal jogging" you provided me with the cartoon--I read that that is what laughter is.
I know you get plenty of strength and flexibility training just by caring for a baby and three other lively youngsters. I marvel you ever find time for a cardio workout.
